  • Balance Body & Mind

A balanced body and mind are essential for a healthy and fulfilling life. Achieving this balance can help us feel happier, more focused, and more productive in all areas of our lives.

  • Healthy Daily Life

Maintaining a healthy daily life can seem overwhelming, but it doesn't have to be. Simple changes to your daily routine can have a big impact on your overall well-being.

  • Nutrition Strategy

Nutrition is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle. It provides the fuel that our body needs to function properly, and when done correctly, can improve our overall well-being.

Improve Your Life As we Grow Older

This is a powerful tool for personal and professional growth, helping you to identify what you truly want in life and develop a plan to achieve it.

We aim to help us understand our health and well-being as we age.

A balanced body and mind are essential for a healthy and fulfilling life. Achieving this balance can help us feel happier, more focused, and more productive in all areas of our lives. It requires a holistic approach that takes into account our physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

Mindset can be what opens the door to how we take those small steps to a healthier, and happier existence as we age.

Health as one gets older

Move Daily

We are learning how critical movement is in helping with our thinking and aging. Activity of 1-2 minutes several times a day of high engagement can make a difference in helping us maintain our ability to think clearly and increase our heart and lung function. Don’t underestimate the power of consistent movement throughout the day and week.

Mental Health

How we think about ourselves is nothing one should take lightly. As we get older,  mental health challenges can often show up as loss of social connections and decreased ability to accomplish daily activities. Life becomes more challenging because of chronic conditions, such as arthritis, anxiety, foggy thinking, discouragement, and depression. Understanding what actions can be taken to support ourselves as we age is critical to embracing a long, vibrant life and engaging in meaningful activities.

Connections

Dr. George lost her husband to a massive heart attack in Dec. 2015. She understands the challenges of suddenly having to deal with a new normal. We lose loved ones who pass on and friends unexpectedly. Dealing with the concepts of death and dying is not easy, but it is one thing as human beings we all have in common. Embracing how we think about our lives and staying connected to friends and family is critical. Taking time and attention to understand our feelings and make new social connections is vital as we age.

Brain and Gut

Gut health is now considered our second brain. The quantity of sugar in food has never been so high. Recognizing the food we eat contributes to lowering inflammation in our bodies. Lower inflammation helps reduce arthritis pain symptoms and decreases our risk of becoming diabetic and heart, liver, and kidney problems. Eating a diet lower in processed foods, lower in refined sugars, and higher in good bacteria helps our guts continue working towards maintaining brain and body connection, leading to a longer life.
